Shari Hofer

Shari Hofer is a transformational executive whose career spans global enterprises, high-growth startups, and PE- and VC-backed ventures. Known for leading organizations through complex digital, cultural, and strategic shifts, she has built and guided teams that deliver measurable impact while strengthening the human fabric of the companies she serves.

Her leadership includes unifying 57 brands into a single global framework, accelerating growth and tripling pipeline performance at Rosetta Stone, and helping multiple companies—including Yesmail—navigate successful IPOs and acquisitions. Shari has led enterprise-wide marketing, communications, and sustainability functions; driven market expansion; and championed innovation through AI and emerging technologies. Across every role, she is recognized for bringing clarity, momentum, and a deeply people-centered approach to transformation.

Outside of her executive work, Shari is a proud mom and military spouse, an outdoor enthusiast, and a writer who stepped away from the corporate pace to explore the intersection of leadership, identity, and caregiving. That season reshaped her understanding of resilience and became the foundation for this book.Today, she serves as a board director, advisor, and operator, helping organizations grow with intention, navigate change with confidence, and lead with authenticity.

Shabnam Kazmi

Shabnam Kazmi is a seasoned biotech and pharmaceutical executive whose career spans more than thirty years across the U.S., Europe, and Asia. She has led global teams through drug development, commercialization, market access, and billion-dollar P&Ls, guiding organizations through complex scientific, operational, and cultural challenges with clarity and conviction.

Her leadership includes launching lifesaving oncology therapies, negotiating major global partnerships, directing large-scale business transformations, and advancing patient access across diverse healthcare systems. Shabnam has served as CEO, chief business officer, board director, and advisor for companies across the biotech ecosystem, consistently bridging cultures, disciplines, and geographies to drive meaningful results for both organizations and patients.

Beyond her corporate impact, Shabnam is deeply committed to equity and representation. Through more than two decades of board service and public speaking, she has championed women, minorities, and underrepresented voices in leadership, drawing on her own experience as a first-generation Indian/Malaysian professional building a global career.

Her caregiving journey, lived across continents and cultures, reshaped her understanding of resilience, love, and the invisible weight carried by families navigating illness.
